We improve the quality of life for children
We support charitable organizations to improve the quality of life for children and their families, including contributing to the development of healthy lifestyles and their well-being.
We have been giving a helping hand to organizations in our communities for 30 years
The Fondation Bon départ de Canadian Tire du Québec has been supporting charitable organizations for 30 years. The strength of our network allows us to be present throughout Québec. The Dealers who own the 100 Canadian Tire stores in Québec sponsor the charities in their community, which encourages the distribution of our action throughout the province.
Reducing poverty
According to the after-tax low-income measure, 14.4% of Quebecers had less than half the median income to support themselves in 2017.
Getting young people moving
In 2016-2017, only one in five young people reached the “active” level when it came to physical activity and recreation.

Overview of some donations 2019-2020
Throughout the year, we work together with charitable organizations. Thanks to this collaboration, we are changing lives throughout Québec. A big thank you to all our organization friends that work for the well-being of children and families on a daily basis.
La Libellule
La Libellule involves more than 100 adults living with an intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder who receive day and weekend activity services.
More than $13,000 was donated to La Libellule, which enabled them to furnish their two activity centres: the day centre based in Pointe-Calumet and the workshop centre in Saint-Eustache.
Corporation Jeunesse l’Évasion l’Ormière - Maison des jeunes l’Évasion
The mission of the Maison des jeunes l’Évasion is to offer a healthy and lively living environment where young people between the ages of 12 and 17 and important adults gather. Their objective is to prevent psychosocial problems and work to improve the well-being of the teenagers in the community. We are proud to have given them $5,000 to purchase various materials for the Saturday night dinners, which allow young people to take control of their situation by learning to cook and therefore eat better.
Projet iFun vélo de la Maison des jeunes de L’Ancienne-Lorette
The iFun project is a 5-day bike ride for young people aged 11 to 17 years old, with the aim of improving their self-awareness. They have to spend one week away from technologies such as Facebook, cell phones, etc. The young people must participate in fundraising, preparing meals, washing dishes, etc. This project is an excellent way to counter the isolation of youth with few social activities and to discover new passions with their peers. The foundation’s $5,500 donation was used to purchase a bicycle, self-inflating camping mattresses and other useful items for their expedition!
Maison de la Famille des Maskoutains
We donated $2,000 to the Maison de la Famille des Maskoutains for its summer camp project “Les Colibris.” This is an opportunity for children to experience a summer filled with enriching and stimulating activities in a stable and safe environment. Priority is given to newly arrived families who live in an environment of vulnerability and financial insecurity.
La Maison des Petites Lucioles
Thanks to a $25,000 donation, La Maison des Petites Lucioles equipped the adapted bathrooms, the Snoezelen room (which allows for controlled multi-sensory stimulation, aimed at awakening the sensoriality of the person being stimulated, in a safe environment), the living room, and the sports hall. La Maison des Petites Lucioles is a charitable organization that offers respite and accommodation services to young people with multiple disabilities in a warm, safe and stimulating environment.
